What is a Base Coat Paint?

A base coat paint are just like the name implies, a base colored paint matching your vehicles color code that gets applied on top of the primer layer. This paint does not come with a clear coat unless you select a paint size that contains clear coat to apply over your base paint to protect it and give it a little shine.
